Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
Our mobile dent repair service in Orange County, LUX PDR, is a paintless dent repair service, also known as “PDR”. Paintless dent removal is a collection of techniques for removing minor dents and dings from the body of a motor vehicle, motorcycle or automotive.
We can repair wide range of damage using PDR, however, PDR is not suitable for paint repair but can prepare the surface for repainting. The most common use for PDR is the repair of door dings, minor body creases, hail or impact damage and minor bumper indentations. The techniques we apply help prepare the damaged panel for paint. Such applications are referred to as “push to paint”, or “push for paint”.
Limiting factors for a successful repair using PDR include; the flexibility of the paint, and the amount the metal has been stretched by the damage. In some instances, extremely sharp dents and creases may not be repairable – at least not without painting afterwards.
